Dr. Marie Gagnon
Dr. Gagnon is our staff veterinarian. She graduated from the University of Montreal, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in 1993. After completing a one year internship at the Pittsburgh Zoo and one year at The Metropolitin Veterinary Hospital in Pittsburgh doing emergency medicine, Dr. Gagnon arrived in Louisville in late 1994. She acquired Fairleigh Pet Center from Dr. Henry Fairleigh and the practice took a brand new direction. She likes to say veterinary medicine is not only a science, but also an art. Dr. Gagnon realizes that every pet has his or her own individual personality. She believes that in order to help one specific pet, it is necessary to adapt to his or her specific behavior.
Dr. Gagnon's favorite areas of expertise are internal medicine, dermatology and behavior problems. She loves to help owner's with their geriatric pets, enabling them to live a long and healthy life. She likes working with both dogs and cats, enjoying the different attributes each one brings.
At home Dr. Gagnon has a very busy family life. She has an amazing 16 year old daughter, Alex, who shares in her love for animals. Dr. Gagnon also has a wonderful husband, Barry Taylor, who handles office business at Fairleigh . There is very little down time because her 4 dogs, 10 cats, Chloe the Sheep, Dante the Donkey, Nannie the Goat, Billy the Goat and Buddie the Horse keep her very busy. |

Dr. Leslie Brown
I have been practicing here at FPC for over 4 years and love getting to know my neighbors and their pets. I have practiced previously in Arizona, San Francisco, and Bloomington, IN. I have a husband, Hewett, and 2 children, Willow who is 6, and John Henry, who is two years old. To complete our family, we have a dog, Inja, and two cats, Jasmine and Abu.
I am passionate about providing up-to-date medicine, surgery, and dentistry to enhance the quality of life for our patients. I also want to provide support and education to our clients to enrich their relationship with their pets.
I also provide acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine at FPC. I received my certification in acupuncture in 2007. This has been a real asset to our geriatric patients with arthritis and weakness, and also helps many medical disorders.
