Meet the Staff of Fairleigh Pet Center

|
Cari B.
Veterinary Technician / Groomer /
Certified Veterinary Nutritional Advocate / Quality Control Coordinator
I joined Dr. Gagnon's team in the spring of 2002 and haven't looked back since. I started grooming at Fairleigh in the fall of 2002 and I absolutely love it. I can honestly say I look forward to going to work everyday. Working in the veterinary field not only requires a lot of knowledge and skill, but also compassion, heart, and a true desire to help every pet live the healthiest and happiest life possible. I believe that Drs. Gagnon, Brown, & Neat, and our veterinary health care team possess all of these traits and then some. We have the best clients and consider it an honor that they choose us to play a major role in the life of their four-legged children. That is an honor that we don't take lightly.
My own house of four-legged kids includes 1 dog: Abe & 5 cats: Dusty, Eugene, Ivan, Vegetable Dave, and Star.

Barry Taylor
Office Manager / Finance Coordinator
I started working at Fairleigh Pet Center in the fall of 2001 as a part-time veterinary assistant. Since then, I have become the financial coordinator, taking care of all the monetary aspects of operating such a large clinic, and also taking care of employee benefits and payroll issues. I am thrilled to come to work daily and meet with clients and their pets. One of my favorite things to do is to walk in the kennel and look at the animals. I also have a daily admirer, Cyrus, who spends the morning with me, rummaging through my papers and napping on them. I wouldn't change my job for anything. |

Erin J.
Veterinary Technician / Compliance Coordinator
Certified Veterinary Nutritional Advocate
I have been with Dr. Gagnon for 7 years now but began my role in veterinary medicine when I was only 16 years old. When I relocated to Louisville I scoured the city for a Veterinary Clinic that I felt offered quality medical care and the compassion and integrity required in this field. I happened upon Bardstown Road and met with Dr. Gagnon. Right off I liked her and her theory of veterinary medicine. After 5 years here I am very pleased with my decision. I believe that Dr. Gagnon and our entire staff have the heart and the intelligence to help every pet that walks through the door.
I'm married to a very special guy, and we just had our first child, a beautiful healthy baby boy, in February 2009. We have three cats, Petry, Lorenzo, and Harper. We also have three dogs. Asia, Bowie and Carly. |

Veterinary Technician / Front Office Team Leader |
I've been a member of the Fairleigh Pet Center team since November 2006. Although I'm fairly new to veterinary medicine, I've worked with animals nearly my whole life. I am married and have a great "kid", my Shepherd, Kona. I am very appreciative of Dr. Gagnon and my coworkers for helping me learn about such a worthwhile field. |

Veterinary Technician |
I joined the staff of Fairleigh Pet Center in 2001. I work mostly in the back so many of you may not see me that often. I'm referred to as the "Poodle Lady". I have 7 poodles of all ages. Although I do love my little poodle babies I am very passionate about all the animals we care for here. I look forward to many more rewarding years here at Fairleigh and I love the relationships that I've made over the years with clients and their animal companions.

Becca S.
Licensed Veterinary Technician / Dentistry & Surgery Team Leader |
I have been at Fairleigh since July 2009 and I have enjoyed getting to know the different clients and pets. I just received my Veterinary Technician License in May 2010 and I look forward to building upon the knowledge I received in school. I live with my husband and five dogs: Riliegh, Cooper, Pippin, June, and Maggie. I also have two rescued hairless rats: Parsley and Sage. My favorite area of the hospital to work in is performing dentals. Dental health is the key to an animal's overall health. |

Ashley W.
Veterinary Assistant
It was with great pleasure that I joined the team at Fairleigh Pet Center in July 2010. I am not new to veterinary medicine; I have worked in the field for 8 years. I also recently graduated from Morehead State University where I concentrated my studies in veterinary medicine. I truly enjoy working with animals of all sizes and shapes. At times it is challenging, but it is always rewarding. One of the best things about working at FPC is the respect the staff receives from the doctors. It's great working with staff who work as a team in helping our 4-legged clients and their families. Each one of us here has furry kids at home so we know and understand that your 4-legged furry kids are a part of your family. I enjoy coming to work daily; I love getting to know our clients and their families. What other career is there where you can get hugs and loves from furry clients daily and know you are helping them live a happy, healthy life. I look forward to many years here.
I live in Jeffersonville, IN; I have a large German Shepherd named Bubbee Boo and a very curious girly girl gray and white tabby cat named Pixee Stixs. Pixee only weighs seven pounds but she loves to torment Bubbee. |

FPC started out as just a summer job, but it's turned out to be so much more. I've been here nearly a year now. I've learned so much from my co-workers, but even more from the animals. |
