We have been adopting out homeless cats (and the occasional dog) for many years now. We have limited space but we do our best to help the homeless pet population. We believe that every domestic animal, even those with issues, deserve the chance to live their life in a safe and loving home. We are very strict about approving adoptions so that when we place a homeless animal, we know in our hearts they will have a good life. We require an accredited veterinary reference, that the animal remain indoor only if a cat and indoor mostly if a dog, and approval from a landlord if there is one. If the prospective owner is a client here already we will look back through our records of other pets and make sure the other pets were well taken care of.
